Speak Life

Begins July 10 | Wednesdays | Room 213 | 6 Weeks | 7:30 pm

Every life is sacred, including pre-born life in the womb. Learn about the practical care and life-affirming resources related to pregnancy, sexual integrity, and abortion recovery.  Whether you or someone you know has had an abortion, or you would like a better understanding about this sensitive issue, this class (for women and men) will raise your awareness, provide opportunity to make a difference, and, if needed, bring healing.

In the Beginning: the Creation-Evolution Controversy

Begins August 28 | Wednesdays | Room 212 | 12 weeks | 7:30 PM | $20 (collected in class)

Creation or evolution—does it really matter?  Couldn’t God have used evolution to create the world?  Should the creation account in Genesis be taken literally? Shouldn’t we just preach about Jesus rather than create another divisive issue? This class examines not only the science but the materialistic philosophy behind evolutionary thought, as well as Scriptural evidence.  Some of the topics include:

  • Results of evolution on society

  • The fossil record

  • Age of the earth

  • Dinosaurs and the Bible

  • Chemical evolution and the origin of life

  • Ape-men and cave men

Bring your questions about supposed proofs of evolution.  Your faith in the written Word will increase as we explore the wonders of creation!

Begins September 4 | Wednesdays | Room 211 | 7 Weeks | 7:30 pm | $20 (collected in class)
